 The Great Rabbi of Lubawitch
|
Backed up by 20 years of experience in the field of exclusive jewelry as the head of the 'butterfly' firm, Gavrielov has gained reputation as one of the best respected manufacturers and artists at the precious metals craftsmanship communities.
15 years ago, during one his business trips, Gavrielov has been offered to join a friend who was visiting the great rabbi of Lubawitch that time. Gavrielov has accepted the offer, and arrived to the rabbi's Beith-Midrash (house-of-study) during prayer.
"I couldn't help my shivering of excitement; I have truly felt that a man of God stands before me - in every sense of the word" he often says. Ever since, Gavrielov has begun a slow and lasting process of spiritual transformation, as he got closer and closer to the Judaic passion that he felt so intensely within him.
During one night, Gavrielov had experienced a "life-transforming event" as he calls it. "When in Kever David (grave of King David)" he tells us, "I have read Tehilim (pslams) in great infatuation, as my gaze suddenly fell upon the verse: 'I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments', wreathed in flourishing stems and buds. Great desire overtook me as I realized that which I was to do. As I returned home, I have taken a silver plate and crafted it into the letters and the floral decorations as I have seen them at Kever David. I then soldered them onto another silver plate.
